The Van Leeuwen Education Foundation supports educational initiatives in the countries where Van Leeuwen operates, with a focus on creating equal opportunities for people in disadvantaged situations. Through education, training, and personal development, the Foundation helps people discover and develop their talents.
Highlights from 2025
In 2025, the Foundation continued supporting a range of educational projects around the world. Colleagues also visited several initiatives to experience their impact firsthand, including IMC Weekendschool in the Netherlands, the Let’s Read and Play project in Thailand, and the Phase BE Summer Camp in Germany.
The Foundation further expanded its portfolio with four new projects:
2026 so far
The Foundation has remained actively involved in its projects during 2026. In April, Van Leeuwen representatives visited NatuurWijs during its Spring Tour in the Solleveld nature reserve near The Hague. Children took part in educational activities focused on nature, sustainability, and the environment, including learning about bees, insects, and water purification. More recently, over 30 students from IMC Weekendschool visited the World Tube Center in Zwijndrecht. Through interactive games and a discovery tour, they gained insight into the world of Van Leeuwen while developing teamwork, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. With projects in different countries and regular visits by Van Leeuwen colleagues, the Foundation continues to support initiatives that help young people develop their talents and prepare for the future.
